Description : The Job:
Ensure the proper and effective roll-out of the current ERP plan based on the established deliverables related to the initiative as identified by the corporate head office. Ensure that the finance team has been sufficiently trained to effectively manage and own the solution as well as ensuring the proper processes are in place. Ensure all details have been loaded into the solution up to and including the current period and ensure the new solution reconciles with the legacy system. Ensure that the operation is able to meet all regulatory reporting requirements from the new ERP. Establish and maintain effective financial and accounting recording, reporting and control mechanisms to ensure the operating company meets all the company’s corporate and legal requirements in order to assist the Managing Director and other colleagues in developing and meeting operating company’s objectives, plans, budgets and forecasts.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage ERP Processes in the company by identifying risks, developing and implementing control procedures and enable employees to better understand system processes:
• Coaches employees to better understand the system processes
• Identifies key risk areas and ensures strong internal controls (preferably systems managed)
• Ensures full compliance to legal and group accounting regulations through the Oracle ERP solution.
• Ensures the completeness and correctness of all financial reporting from the Oracle ERP solution.

Provide pro-active leadership and advice to senior management on the ERP implementation and analyze progress versus approved plans and objectives:

• Ensures soundness of the company’s financial ERP structure
• Ensure timely development and deployment of the reports on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow (internally and externally), MRP has generated through the ERP and the publishing of the trial balances to the Hyperion solutions.
• Provides accurate and timely information to management of the company and group on the progress of the backlog data capture in the Oracle ERP.
• Provides accurate and timely information to management of the company and group on the progress of the finance team with regards to their ability to independently manage the ERP solution and own the processes therein.
• Pro-actively assists management when deciding on finance-related issues and seeks to optimize performance through the Oracle ERP.
• Ensure the finality and precision of the integration of the POS systems (Homisco and Active retail) with regards to their integration to the Oracle A/R sub-ledger.
• Ensure the proper implementation of the Bank reconciliation process in an automated manner through the cash management module.

Manage the Financial department resources as they relate to the Oracle ERP solution:
• Manages personnel activities of staff on a daily basis to ensure they utilize the ERP properly.
• Development of skilled staff to ensure they master the ERP solution completely
• Active involvement in people management with regards to the management and utilization of the Oracle ERP
• Provides leadership to the ERP finance team.

Essential Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience in the roll-out/implementation process of an Oracle ERP solution: Familiarity with Oracle methodology for the roll-out and management of an Oracle ERP solution, Ability to pick up an existing implementation and bring it to fruition in such a way as to also ensure the operation is equipped to managed the solution on their own. Must understand the financial processes as they pertain to the ERP solutions.
• University degree (Finance, Economics or similar)
• Qualified accountant(ACCA or similar)
• Minimum of 15 years of industry track record mostly gained in international, blue chip environments
• 5 years PQE director level overseeing finance function at country or regional level
• Experience in emerging/ developing countries
• Experience in managing an Oracle ERP implementation is a must
• Experience in establishing strong financial processes and controls
• Able to operate in a performance driven organization
• Strong ethics, hands on approach, business acumen and honed communication skills
• Fluency in English and French
